Discipline is a stimulator - energizer - activator

Discipline plays many roles and serves many functions. But my favorite is the role and function of the activator.

Something must move me. Something must serve as the activating force within me. I'm unwilling to wait until I feel ready. If it's required or seems necessary, then it's on me to do the work.

I use discipline to activate decisions, actions, and standards in my life.

I lean on discipline to move from zero to one, from inaction to action, from avoiding to doing, from resistance to acceptance, from doubtful to courageous, from indecisive to convicted, from average to excellent.

I don't want life to happen to me. I want to make things happen.

Discipline is my activator when I want to make something happen — a decision, an action, an outcome.

Because when I activate my discipline, my discipline activates me.

Brick by brick. Do the work.
