Feeling stuck? Don’t stay there!

Everyone feels stuck sometimes. But stuck people go nowhere. So, when you feel stuck, don’t stay stuck.

Don’t wait for clarity. Don’t wait until you feel confident. When you feel stuck, you won’t feel clear or confident. If you were clear and confident, you wouldn’t feel stuck, would you?

Don't wait for circumstances to change. Don't wait for someone to get you unstuck. When you feel stuck, it’s 100% your responsibility to not stay stuck.

When you feel stuck, you can’t afford to wait for better feelings. You can’t depend on better conditions to arrive. Waiting means staying stuck by choice.

That’s not feeling stuck. That’s choosing stuck. And if you’re choosing stuck, then you’re the one responsible for why you feel stuck.
Your first job isn't finding the right answer. Your first job is refusing to stay stuck. Take a step. A small step. A big step. Any step. Disciplined action and movement breaks the spell of being stuck.

The right answer for getting unstuck is a result that comes after you take responsiblity for not staying stuck.

I know this leads to more quesitons, so let’s try something new. If this topic is timely or relevant, I want to know the quesitons this brings up for you. I want to help you work through them with disciplined thoughts, decisions, actions, and where possible, strategies.

I will use your questions to inform next week’s Daily Discipline emails.

Here’s how to submit your questions:

  1. Login to the DD Community (join here for free if you haven’t)
  2. Post your question on this post in the “DD Newsletter” section.
  3. Share any observations, struggles, or scenarios about your question. Context matters. Share only what you are comforable sharing, but you can always send me a direct private message.
  4. I’ll share a brief direct reply there, but I will also use the questions to explore this topic in depth all next week.
  5. That way everyone can benefit.

If you don’t want to join the community, you can reply to this email, but first priority goes to community member questions and situations.

Everyone feels stuck sometimes. If you’re not there now, you’ll be there again at some point.

But we’re not going to stay stuck!

Event + Response = Outcome. Do the work.
