“I wish I didn’t care so much.”

Have you noticed that not much is gained from the approval of others?

Many of you write me about your struggles to detach from caring too much what other people think. It’s not a switch you can throw. It’s a dynamic to work through, layer by layer, using time to understand yourself and reorient in a healthier way.

A good place to start is turning on the awareness that gaining approval from others doesn’t actually deliver value. Despite your strong feelings, it’s a false motive. It’s an empty pursuit. It’s sugar water. Gaining or losing approval has no impact on who you actually are and no control over who you choose to be.

Embrace the chase Do the work.
