Let’s discuss freedom and our relationship with it.
Freedom is an inherent human right. With the life and body you occupy, you are free to:
- Think as you want to think.
- Choose as you want to choose.
- Act as you want to act.
You can pursue any purpose, go in any direction, toward any goal, for any reason. What are you doing with that freedom?
To be clear, no rules state how you must use your freedom. There are no mandates or obligations. It is for you to decide. That is the essence of freedom. Still, it is worth checking in with ourselves to stay self-aware of how we use our freedom.
- With all your freedom to think, how are you thinking?
- With all your freedom to choose, what are you choosing?
- With all your freedom to act, how are you acting?
Is how you use your freedom making you stronger or weaker? Do you use it like a pilot flying an airplane or more like a kid watching YouTube?
Do you fill freedom with discipline or with distraction? Is it your platform for excellence or your playground for excuses?
Will you look back 10 years from now and feel proud of your wisdom or disappointed in your foolishness?
Simply stated, how well are you using the freedom you have? Are you using it for what you want, in the ways you want, through your thoughts, choices, and actions?
Brick by brick. Do the work.
