No stress without purpose

Waste no time cutting things from your life that add stress without adding value. Stress isn't the enemy. Lack of purpose is the enemy. Stress is only an enemy when you carry it without purpose.

Strength and longevity are worth the stress of a hard workout. Feeling like you won is not worth the stress of an argument. Testing your capabilities is worth the stress of an intimidating challenge. Being momentarily liked isn't worth the stress of chasing approval.

These are examples, of course, and you must set your own standards for what is purposeful and what is not, what is worth it and what is not.

Carrying an element of stress is baked into humanity. It’s beneficial if it serves you and serves a purpose. When you become aware of stress seeping and dripping into your life without serving a worthwhile goal or meaningful mission, discard those things with expedient confidence.

Make sure you get a productive return on your stress. No stress without purpose. No pressure without value.

Answer the call. Do the work.
