On Hard Work: Part 2

I’m going to tell you something about hard work that most people don’t acknowledge: hard work will cost you a lot without guaranteeing you anything. That’s a tough pill for some people to swallow.

Hard work is not a guarantee of success. It’s not a guarantee of progress, at least not on your preferred timeline.

Hard work does not automatically create consistent, incremental improvement. It does not promise to deliver the expected outcome.

Hard work is a general admission ticket. It’s the minimum requirement to enter any arena you want to improve, sustain, or transform. Without it, you don’t get to participate.

The question is, do you have a ticket into the game you’re trying to win?
