Pain is trying to send you a message.

Everyone gets their ass kicked eventually. Somewhere. Someway. Somehow. The disciplined person recovers faster than the undisciplined person.

It's not whether you'll experience this pain. It's how quickly you'll recover from it and what you'll learn through the experience. For the disciplined person, pain feeds strength. For the undisciplined person, pain feeds fear and excuses.

We can't control the presence of pain. We only control how we respond to it. Event + Response = Outcome. Pain is an event. Responding to pain with intention, purpose, and skill turns today's setback into tomorrow's strength.

We've hurt before. We'll hurt again. We'll recover again and be better for it. We're not trying to avoid pain. We're trying to gain strength.

The time is now. Do the work.
