Small improvements make progress

People like to think discipline is all or nothing. They see it as mistake-free consistency. But it’s not. People frame discipline that way in their minds to give them an easily accessible excuse to not do it.

Discipline isn’t doing everything right. It’s a binary 100% or 0% choice. Discipline has a scale. It’s working to improve quality and production. Any amount of discipline is better than less discipline.

Ask yourself: How much value would 10% more discipline bring to your life? What about 20%?

What could it do for your leadership of yourself? What could it do for your finances? Your health? Your stress? Your relationships? Your family?

Not even total discipline. Just some more discipline. Any amount. Not all-out commitment. Just leaning into it 10% more where you’ve been neglecting it.

Don’t worry about missteps, mistakes, and inconsistencies. Those are part of discipline, too.

Event + Response = Outcome. Do the work.
