The recipe for excellence

The world rewards excellence. It doesn’t reward intentions or intelligence. It doesn’t reward feelings or beliefs. It doesn’t reward desire or complaining.

It rewards excellence. Those who produce it, share it, and amplify it. Those who use the means available to them to put excellence into the world.

Parents hope for it. Leaders are desperate for it. Organizations pay for it because they depend on it. Customers expect it. And as I’ve told you before, the demand is greater than the supply.

But creating excellence is no mystery:

  1. Excellence begins with a foundation of simplicity.
  2. Excellence grows from a steady stream of discipline.
  3. Excellence emerges from a collection of skills.

That’s how you build excellence. Simplicity, discipline, and skills. That’s how you create and contribute excellence. The world wants your excellence, and it waits patiently to reward you for providing it.

Event + Response = Outcome. Do the work.
