People will do things that harm you. They will hurt your feelings, sow seeds of doubt, and miss what you believe are obvious signals. People, like you, are imperfect. They make mistakes. Unexpressed needs, lack of communication, and a disconnect of shared standards are easily misinterpreted and converted to threatening motives.
