What can your discipline accomplish?

Here's a shot to the heart on a Friday. Wait until the end. That’s the real kicker.

Imagine you make no meaningful improvements to your discipline in the next 1-3 years. All your patterns stay as they are now. Nothing changes in your standards, choices, effort, energy, or skill.

How far can your current level of discipline take you? Is it developed to the point that it will deliver what you hope to accomplish? Or do the results you want and the fulfillment you crave require that you develop stronger discipline than you demonstrate now?

I can't stress enough how important it is for you to answer this question and answer it honestly.

Because you will reach only as far as your discipline allows. And what you can reach, you will sustain and grow only as long as your discipline allows.

The other side of this question is just as important.

Usually, it triggers a more significant emotional reaction: What will not happen for you until you improve your discipline? What are you not going to accomplish with your current patterns?

Don't let your answers scare you. Make them fuel you!

Brick by brick. Do the work.
