What GREAT friends do that GOOD friends don’t.

The great act of friendship is not loyalty. That is a fundamental requirement of friendship. With loyalty, a friendship exists, even when the interactions are infrequent. A friendship does not exist without loyalty, even when the interactions are constant.

The great act of friendship is not love because love is an emotion contained within you. You love many things, and some people, that are unaware of the love you feel.

Love is even sometimes the reason you don't tell a friend the truth, or at least that's how you justify it. The reason you don't tell the truth is not because of love but because of fear.

No, the great act of friendship is believing in another person. Believing in who they are, who they can become, and the importance of the impact they could have on the world if they become their best and most authentic self.

The greatest act of friendship is recognizing the excellence within another person, encouraging them to honor it and bring it to the world, and ensuring that they do.

Loyalty is necessary. Love is nice. But believing in somebody and showing it is the ultimate act of friendship.

The time is now. Do the work.
