Cheers to good friends and deep conversations.

A friend of mine shared with me last night the message he wants on his headstone.

“I want it to read ‘Nothing was below me. Nothing was above me.’”

We had a meaningful conversation about genuinely believing that no version of life is too poor, too hard for us and no version is too high, too good for us.

The ugly, dirty, difficult side of life is well within your means. As is the beautiful, extraordinary, brilliant side.

It may not be your headstone. But it’s a worthy mindset to build a life on.

Discipline is the shortcut. Do the work.
