There are doors in your mind. Locked doors. Behind these locked doors leads the way to meaningful breakthroughs of awareness, understanding, and confidence.
Some of these doors are naturally locked because of the way you’re wired, but some of them you locked yourself to keep unpleasant thoughts, feelings, or realities away from your attention.
Whether you locked it or it was naturally locked doesn’t matter, because you only have one decision to make when you arrive at a locked door in your mind:
Leave it locked or unlock it.
The decision to unlock it is to explore what’s inside that door. To feel it, experience it, recognize it, understand it, accept it, learn from it, use it, and become better because of it.
The decision to leave it locked is to give up all that, try to ignore the door even exists, and allow what’s behind that door to influence and control you through mechanisms outside your awareness or understanding.
