When in doubt . . .

Gaining control of your thoughts, and especially your emotions, will always be a challenge. It’s a part of being human you need to accept and embrace. No matter how hard you work, sometimes your focus and feelings will get off track and it’s hard to find your way back.

How do you regain control of yourself when you don’t feel in control of your thoughts?

Find one disciplined thing you can do and act on it immediately. When you’re having trouble directing your internal response, bypass it and move into a disciplined external response.

This will reliably trigger forward momentum, pull you out of the emotional pits, and lead to a renewed positive focus.

Discipline is the shortcut. Do the work.
