Where does comfort belong in your priorities?

If comfort is your top priority, then anything other than the easier options are emotionally filtered into the category of ‘too hard’. Once you favor the comfortable options and tell yourself the alternatives will be hard, your emotions attack the alternatives and your mind rejects them.

One of the worst decisions you can make, and many people have, is placing comfort and convenience anywhere near the top of your priority list.

Keep comfort where it belongs. It works best in its natural role as temporary recovery from hard work put in and rest for hard work ahead. That’s comfort’s job: support higher, harder priorities through recovery and rest.

So yes, discipline is hard sometimes. Like everything of value, isn’t it supposed to be though? Maybe you’ve put comfort, convenience, and ease too high above more important things on your priority list.

Embrace the chase. Do the work.

PS - If you’ve wanted to attend an event to see me speak live, December 10 in Charlotte, NC is your chance! I’ve got 50 seats available for my E+R=O INTENSIVE and will be offering them exclusively to anyone who pre-registers here.
