You don’t need to come from a special place to do special things. You don’t need special genes, amazing beginnings, or ideal circumstances. You don’t need rare talents or innate abilities.
You need skills.
You already have some of them, maybe even a lot, but you need more. Some of your skills are already good enough to win. Others need to get much better.
You’re not a finished product and you never will be. You are a work in progress. Keep getting better.
Don’t expect to gain skills automatically through life experience. Experience doesn’t build skills. It builds patterns and not all of them work well for the life you’re trying to live.
You must identify the skills you need. How do you identify them?
Go back and read the last two day’s messages. Take on specific challenges that push you forward on a path of your choosing. In those challenges you will find your failure points. Those failure points will show you the gaps in your skills that you must develop.
If your current pattern is resisting those challenges because you are afraid of something, then the first skill you must develop is courage.
That skill will push you into the challenges that will reveal the other skills you need to develop.
As your skills improve, you will get good enough to overcome those challenges. You will then elevate to the next set of challenges that will show you new skills to develop.
Take on the challenges in front of you or start with the skill of courage. Make the decision today and take the first step.
The skills you need are in the challenges you’re resisting.
Event + Response = Outcome. Do the work.
