How to dishonor a relationship

Developing yourself serves your self-interest. Strengthening your discipline and growing your confidence benefits you financially, physically, and emotionally. But that's only part of the payoff.

Discipline plays a bigger role than pure self-interest, and strengthening your discipline serves a higher purpose. To neglect your discipline is to dishonor and diminish your relationships. People who deserve your best depend on you developing yourself to that standard.

Investing in yourself is self-interest, but it's much more than that. It serves the people you love, the people you value, and the people who rely on you. The best contribution you can make to your family, friends, and teammates is to develop yourself.

Your growth is their benefit, and their benefit is in your interest.

The time is now. Do the work.
