How to win from the inside out

Let's explore how we measure excellence and the strategic value behind it.

First, a reminder that we are seeking a measure of excellence that satisfies both objective and subjective desires. Second, the measure of excellence we're using is:

  1. The best I am capable of right now.
  2. The best I am capable of becoming.

When we fulfill the first statement (The best I am capable of right now), we naturally fulfill subjective excellence. Sometimes, that will also be good enough to produce objective excellence, but not always.

If we continue fulfilling the second statement (The best I am capable of becoming), we push ourselves higher on the scale of objective excellence. We also remain secure in our subjective excellence.

We can condense this measure ever further into one crisp statement:

The best I am capable of right now in pursuit of the best I can become.

This is the measure of excellence I believe in. It provides subjective excellence while producing the highest level of objective excellence possible.

Wherever that leads and whatever it builds is worthy.

Brick by brick. Do the work.
