How often do you see a disciplined person struggling to be productive?

It’s exceedingly rare to see someone suffering from too much focus or discipline, but throw a rock in any direction and you will hit a dozen people suffering because of not enough focus or discipline.

As you increase the quality of your focus and discipline, you decrease your risk and increase your productive impact. That’s a pretty compelling combo.

As the quality of your focus and discipline decreases, your risk profile increases and your productive impact decreases. That’s a pretty disappointing combo.

You have a choice. If you err on the side of too little focus and discipline, you’re inevitably bound to come up empty when you need them most.

Err on the side of more focus and discipline, not less. You can always learn how and when to appropriately scale them back if you get overextended.

Answer the call. Do the work.
