The moment is soon a memory

Yesterday might have been a tough day for you. Or it could have been the best day ever. Or it was just another day, not unique in any particular way.

Maybe you got into a disagreement that dredged up unpleasant emotions, or someone treated you in a way you didn't enjoy. You may have crushed a presentation at work or finished a big project. Maybe you didn't do something you said you would or did something you said you wouldn't.

However you filled yesterday's time and etched your mark onto it, it is now relegated to the same memory as every yesterday before it—memories to draw from for perspective, lessons, and wisdom. Moments passed. Moments still to come.

You are not in yesterday anymore. Whatever yesterday contained, you are reading these words today, and today is under no obligation to be a continuance of yesterday. Yesterday does not define today. You define today with your perspective, your decisions, and your actions.

Whether yesterday was tough, great, or unremarkable, it gave you something you can use. Today, you have one more day of experience than yesterday. Use it well. Leave the baggage, keep the lesson, and make your mark on this day before it becomes a memory.

Event + Response = Outcome. Do the work.
