I have no doubt that you are experiencing obstacles. Because obstacles are part of life. Barriers — real and imagined, external and internal — stand between you and something important to you.
The obstacles in your life at the moment are not impossible challenges. You can overcome them. But you must choose to engage yourself in the effort.
So many people make the mistake of waiting for obstacles to go away before they make a serious effort toward an important goal. Instead of providing the discipline and skill to overcome obstacles, they try to avoid them entirely.
They want a certain outcome but when obstacles show up, their stronger desire reveals itself.
Their desire to avoid struggle, and the discomfort that comes with it, exceeds their desire for the outcome. They delay the outcome they want and endure the current state as long as it means avoiding direct contact with the obstacle.
The obstacle blocks their path, but they would rather wait than work and rather hide than engage. Sadly, many people delay so long that they never earn the outcome at all.
Don’t be they. Don’t do what they do. No one reaches the end of their life proud of the outcomes they failed to earn by celebrating the obstacles they avoided.
Feel the obstacle, face the obstacle.
Acknowledge the obstacle, address the obstacle.
The longer you wait, the bigger the obstacle gets, even if only in your mind. I have no doubt that you are experiencing obstacles.
You can overcome them. Choose to engage yourself in the effort.
Brick by brick. Do the work.
