What are you avoiding?
That thing you know you must do.
You’ve recognized it for weeks. Months. Maybe years. But you keep finding new reasons to avoid it.
One thing has become clear to me:
The things we know to do, we should do the moment we recognize them.
Because the cost of avoidance is brutal. It hits you in three ways:
Stress eats you alive. That thing you're avoiding? It lives in your mind and your body. It sits in your stomach like a rock. Every day you don't do it, the weight gets heavier. The anxiety gets stronger.
Penalties pile up. Waiting costs money. It costs time. It costs opportunities. What could have been easy becomes hard. What was simple becomes complicated. What was cheap becomes expensive.
Regret stings the worst. Nothing hurts like knowing you could have solved this months ago. You saw it. You knew what to do. You had the power. You chose to wait.
Part of you will always resist. Reading this won’t change that. Knowledge doesn’t stop the resisting voice. Knowledge is rational. Resistance is emotional. But maybe, just maybe, it will raise your awareness.
Don’t wait for resistance to disappear. It won’t. When your resisting voice is loud, make your disciplined action louder.
Event + Response = Outcome. Do the work.
